A new generation of drilling in Western Australia

Precision Drilling Australia is a new generation of drillers in Western Australia, who work to ensure quality service in the areas of Exploration, Geotechnical, Environmental & Hydro, and Water Well Drilling. Their small and committed team strives to achieve strong results while adhering to environmentally responsible practices.

The Precision team approached us to redesign their website to present their services professionally, in an easy-to-digest format.

As a relatively new brand in the WA environmental drilling scene, they were looking to not only showcase their superior service offerings, but build their brand presence across Australia.

Converting to WordPress

Our first recommendation was to move their website away from WIX and onto a custom-built WordPress website.

WordPress is the world’s most popular open-source content management system (CMS), which offers powerful tools for us developers and our clients, along with being easy for Google to read and rank in search results.

With their custom-built WordPress site, Precision can easily make changes to their website, and it will also allow them to add additional services as they continue to expand and grow as a business.

Website strategy and goals

Following steady growth in their business and industry, Precision needed a new website to showcase their capabilities in the market.

The messaging across the site is designed to highlight their strengths as expert and innovative drillers and serious players in their industry.

It also demonstrates their company values of reliability, safety, and a people-first approach.

Updating the brand

We loved the strong logo mark and font used in Precision’s logo. We tweaked this slightly, to take it from a solid black and white, adding earth colours that represent the colours of the terrain in which they operate.

These colours were carried throughout the website design, creating a strong brand presence.

Optimising for SEO

Precision needs their website to be found online, when their prospective clients are searching for their services.

We built their site with SEO front of mind, adding optimised metadata, H1s and ALT text, to help Google read and rank their website, for target search phrases.

  • December 2021 – Website Strategy Session
  • December 2021 – Wireframe created
  • December 2021 – Design sent to Precision for review
  • January 2022 – Website design approved, Development work begins
  • January 2022 – Development work completed, staging site sent for review
  • February 2022 – Website approved, browser and device testing completed
  • February 2022 – Website live!
